Family, community, connection

Sometimes it takes time to find words, and sometimes you settle in the fact that there are situations where the right words don't exist. It's a protect your boundaries, but your peace may be temporarily disturbed type of season. It's not easy to be caught between I need to do something, but what can I do.

I posted about a week ago, "If you are arguing more than you are praying, you are talking to the wrong people. We may not know how long, but He will give you strategy while you wait." This is not a season where we can be emotionally detached and effective. But it is hard to stay dialed in when we can be easily overwhelmed with all the tragedy, injustice, hate, disregard for human rights, selfishness, greed, and lack of basic morality.

I have heard several people say the world is changing at a rapid rate, but I will say this is a mass exposure of what has always been. It's just in plain sight. Suddenly the need to hide has diminished, the desire to deliver a message in love is almost non-existent, and people easily confuse opinion for truth because in a world where people live to manipulate and control, it has left little room for truth.

Even in the chaos, the beauty of a season like this is the ability to see people's true hearts. I hope you are paying attention. As things continue to change, you are going to need to identify your community. Discernment will be vital to know who you can trust. In a time where the top cares nothing for who they perceive is at the bottom, we will need to stay connected to our village and our faith because strategy will be the solution in this season.

We should not be surprised by anything at this point, and although we may have moments where we feel helpless, there is always something that can be done. It's time to connect with likeminded people, pool your skills and resources, and move more quietly because posting everything you think and everything you are doing as you prepare is not wise.

I serve a God of strategy. I serve a God that is never surprised by what happens, and I serve a God that takes care of His children even when we are impacted by the decisions of others. I have lived a life wrapped in his faithfulness, and in times like these, I will not abandon what I have seen work over and over again.

The call is to remember. Remember who you are and whose you are. Remember you have control over what you ingest and how much. Remember nothing changes when we stand still and do nothing. Remember small things can have big impact. Remember anger is not bad, but how you respond to that anger does matter. Remember Jesus was a man of words with action, and the most valuable thing you can have right now is knowing who you are and your purpose.

II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

Healing is at the core of what we need.

Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

We can have peace in the chaos, but chaos does not equal inaction.

Philipians 4:19

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

I have experienced this firsthand, and His word has not failed me yet.

Philipians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

It's time to assess, connect, and move.

I love you my dear friends.
